It's great! I drink milkshake with my girlfriend here every so often, and they've always treated me with respect. Their food and drinks are brilliant as well!
Very good Coffee shop. Nice service and atmosphere. You can have a good coffee there and eat good cake. They have also gluten free cakes. Besides coffee and cake, You can also have lunch there.

Lovely coffee. Wasn't busy so I I received some great service. Didn't sit in but the place looked nice. Thanks guys for some great coffee!
Great coffee - the best in Winchester. A little out of the way but worth seeking out. Not much outdoor seating.

I have been there three times so far and I marvel at the quality of food each time! I have had sandwiches and one of the salads. I wish more places would offer food like this. The portions are hearty and the food tastes amazing! I love it!
A lovely little cafe my wife told me about you and now whenever im close by working it is always first choice 👍👍

Still the best place to get fish and chips. I'd like to see the removal of the individual portion boxes. Their cost could be extra chips. I like mine in paper so box is a complete waste.
Best Chippie in the Winchester area without a doubt.. You may have to wait at certain times, but it's always fresh.

We went today and were pleasantly surprised at the size of the portion of chips that we received for our £1.90 'small'. Easily fed 2 hungry guys and were fairly tasty. Friendly server too. Will go again.
His food is great but check your bill and change as he is always overcharging

Open 7 days a week including bank holidays. The fish and chips are quite good from here but they are expensive. All portions are in cardboard cartons - so you don't get huge portions of chips like in some chippies. there are lunchtime and kids deals. They do a Gluten free day each Thursday at no extra cost - everything on the menu is gluten free - so excellent for celiacs. Parking is free on the street outside, although this is often busy.
Very tasty fish and chips. Adults and kids scoffed the lot quite happily. Open on a Sunday which is a bonus.

Fantastic, traditional English pub! The building has clearly been around for a few centuries and looks amazing. The walls are adorned with tickets from many a bygone era. Great selection of traditional, English ales and ciders. The outdoor area is a great place to spend a sunny evening and the staff are all really friendly!
An extremely quirky place to visit. Great if you enjoy weird and wonderful memorabilia and stuffed animals. Has many tables inside and out. Prices for a glass of wine are quite expensive though.
Royal Oak, Winchester SO23 9AU, UK – 01962 842701
The Royal Oak is a great pub and has been for 1000+ years (or something like that!) The staff are super-friendly and the drink prices are some of the cheapest in town. There are great deals on most of the day such as 3 for £6 Tequila or 2 for 1 cocktails. The food portions are large and the food has always been well cooked and quickly produced when we've eaten here. The main problem we had was watching the England game as the satellite connection was terrible so missed most of it!
Modern/Classic mingle, wooden layout. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Good selection of ales, lagers, wines and spirits. Outside seating with heated and sheltered areas. Ideally located at the top of town. Good food and some great deals on. Greene King prices. Clean and quite well laid out. Can get busy sometimes and makes it difficult to navigate around.

Annual Green Jacket reunion. Always brilliant & great service & food. H
It's your average GK Chain pub. Standard fare, some decent lagers on draught...but quite amazingly, the flagship real ale, of GK's stable...Abbott's Ale is nowhere to be seen? Like many other outlets The County Arms has far too many televisions and obviously...with the World Cup in progress...they are slightly intrusive. A word of caution. The gents toilets, whilst clean...have an acrid smell of stale urine emanating from the actual urinals...it would suggest that they are not being flushed regularly...if at all? Maybe if someone from the management could sort this out...I'll add another star. Free WiFi, small, slightly awkward car park and outside seating area.

Best Chinese I've had in Winchester hands down. The vegetable rice was absolutely amazing and it is one of the few restaurants where I have found honey duck! Quick delivery too!

Very good service and I now buy from here often. Friendly staff and speedy service.

Best Chinese Food
Myself and my family have been ordering from New City Chinese on a regular basis for the last few years. We have never had any complaints, their food has been consistent and delicious. However, since closing down their store in Winchester and moving their premises, we have have recently ordered a takeaway and received the most abhorrent and rude customer service. We spent well over forty pounds here and when it was delivered the curry wasn't filled to it's full capacity and there we're two of our items missing. I then phoned up to enquire about this and they accused us of repeatedly phoning up to say we have missing items in order to get free food - we have never done this and we are quite upset by the response they gave us. So therefore, we will not be ordering from here again. Disappointed.

We have used this Indian takeaway for the last month and I can tell you it is one of the best Indians in Winchester. We tried for different curries this week and everyone tasted different and the spices they use are absolutely amazing the Lamb and the chicken just melt in your mouth not like many takeaways . Keep it up
Yummy food & friendly staff. Could do with a working TV for distraction when waiting for food, especially when they are busy.

We love the gandhi! They never disappoint!!. Just had a party of 20 of us and they were fast and efficient staff also very polite, the food is delicious!!
Went there last Sunday evening for my birthday, it was a lovely meal, one of the best curries I think i have had, and very attentive waiters. Spotlessly clean.

Good food. Service on this occasion a bit random, food didn't all arrive at the same time. Pleased they now have itemised printed bills.
So easy to order online then pickup. Excellent Indian food. Worthy of many a repeat visit.

My chicken was very juicy and tender I loved the passion and originality the chef applied to his dishes. I would recommend to the world, 12/10 stars, I know what I want for Christmas. The fried potatoes were pure perfection soft inside but still crispy enough to hold their shape. I don't understand why this place doesn't have a Micheline star or two or three. My overall dining experience was unbeatable, the staff were extraordinarily helpful, with only two things in there mind; Hygiene and Chicken. They were very knowledgeable about the high quality product they were producing.
Staff arguing in front of customers about a customer complaint, would not let it go. Good entertainment for us but my chips were lukewarm by the time they got thrown on the counter.

Pretty quick service. Food was hot. Order not complete. Tables not cleaned. Toilets a mess.
Like all MacDonald joints.. nothing extraordinary.. have good amount of space for customers.

I've been here twice and both times the service has been very good and the food is tasty too. Restaurant is nicely laid out on two levels with a spacious feel. The kitchen is downstairs, as are about half of the tables. Will eat here again without hesitation.
The service is a bit slow but overall the food is definitely worth the wait .The staff are very helpful. This restaurant is offers a wide range of drinks including freshly made smoothies and the other of the two down sides is that the food comes in quite the quantity , however this does justify the arguably high prices for food.
