This place is incredible - possibly my favourite place to grab lunch in Winchester, and there's plenty of places to choose from! Authentic Italian food (try their parmigiana!) and pastries. I love that Tom greets every one personally and visits each table to see how their meal is. A must visit!
I wasn't overly impressed - here was my experience: Tom is very nice, very welcoming when I went to book. In contrast, on the night we were eating, one of his staff was very brusque to the point of almost being rude. The people on my table enjoyed their meals, although no one said it was spectacular food. In contrast, the olives (served as starter) were delicious. The potatoes I had (which were not sautéed as described but oven-baked, although this wasn't a problem in itself) were not vegetarian (even though they were described as vegetarian). I guess most people wouldn't mind but I do mind being given something that is cooked or mixed with meat juices. The restaurant is pretty cramped seating - quite continental and I didn't mind this but some of the people on our table were not so keen. To get 5 stars I would like to have had vegetarian potatoes (that sounds ridiculous as I write it but hopefully you understand what I mean!) and a lot better service. I personally wouldn't go back although two out of eight people at our table said they would do.

LOVE this place! Loads of local products, all the veg is available to take in PAPER bags, no plastic. You can even fill up food from the freezer with the paper bags but they do offer plastic ones (you can reuse these though!), bring your own bags. I get the garlic mushrooms from the freezer and the frozen fruit for our smoothies. I also love Hill Farm Apple juice and Stokes Ketchup. They also stock montezumas chocolate and some lovely gin. And they’re part of the Final Straw Winchester! This is just a great place to do some treat shopping!

Very helpful staff and will order if not in stock, choices for gluten free too.
Friendly helpful staff who will go out of their way to help you find what you need. If they haven't got something they will endeavour to find it and order it for you. A great selection of carefully sourced high quality products that you won't get at Holland and Barratt. Staff will often stop for a chat if they're not too busy which makes shopping there a pleasant social experience too. The other day they had a music therapist in store playing beautiful harp music. She even gave me a free short healing session. A fantastic shop!

This is not closed down as was previously reported. Although its a pleasant, large shop, the prices are very expensive. Make sure you check the pricing labels carefully - some of the things in the "penny sale" actually aren't - the labeling isn't very clear.
Small store offering the usual health supplements

Very good selection at reasonable prices. 5/5 would recommend for your daily groceries.
